Oh, My Goddess: a new musical comedy
Oh, My Goddess a new musical comedy is written by members of The Tokens.
In the 1960’s the Tokens recorded one of the most iconic songs in popular music, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and now they bring their talents to the legit theatre in a brand new musical comedy, the score, by Mitch Margo, Phil Margo & Noah Margo, is filled with new and exciting original songs, as well as some of their already popular tunes.
The Goddess of Love has been trapped inside a statue since the debacle of the Trojan War. 3000 year later, she is stolen and winds up across the globe in New York City. Lee has everything the modern man could want: a beautiful and smart fiancée, a great Manhattan apartment with a 52” LCD TV, and he owns a very successful business. Unfortunately for him, the engagement ring he puts on a stolen statue, awakens Venus from a 3000 year old imprisonment. Lee has to quickly learn how to handle a Goddess, outwit two conniving criminals and avoid arrest by one very well connected detective!
